Starting in planning and production of our products we focus on saving resources and on extensive environmental compatibility. Improved methods help us maximize efficient use of many raw materials and recycle waste materials. For example, 99% of the raw materials required in plastics manufacturing and non-ferrous metal processing are utilized. Furthermore we put great effort into substituting for hazardous substances. In fact, all of Wieland’s wiecon PCB terminals are RoHS-compliant. Even extensive investments, such as our fully automated electroplating shop that works in accordance with state-of-the-art eco standards, show that we truly understand "green contacts".

Products, such as the pluggable installation system gesis® or the podis® power bus that uses insulation displacement technology, save installation space, can be installed without producing waste and can also be re-used completely after modifications.
